Ameer Village! A Serene and Charming Akorkhel Abode

Ameer village, a serene and charming Akorkhel Khattak abode is falling in Mauza Shagai (موضع شگئی), Tehsil Jehangira (تحصیل جھانگیرہ) District Nowshera (ضلع نوشہرہ), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (خیبر پختونخوا), Pakistan.

Ameer is one of the most prominent villages situated in Elaqa Khwarra which is a cluster of around 36 villages. This village has a Government primary school for girls and a Government primary school for boys. There is also a Government middle school for girls. There are three mosques in the village. The village population is around 6,000 (Approx.). This village is blessed with a stream of fresh and clean drinking water. The dwellers are peaceful, hospitable, and caring. It is a picturesque and convenient spot for a day-long picnic. A 30-kilometer long metalled road connects it with Nowshera cantonment via Manki Sharif-Saidukhel.

As per the available historical documents, Ajab Khan son of Saadatmand Khan (Sarfraz Khan) settled in Ameeru village around 1823. Saadatmand Khan was the son of Saadullah Khan who was the son of Ashraf Khan Hijri.

Ajab Khan had nine sons who also lived in Ameeru village. Their names are as follows:

  1. Habib Khan, 2. Faizullah Khan, 3. Najeeb Khan, 4. Sarfraz Khan, 5. Jaffer Khan, 6. Khudad Khan, 7. Karim Khan, 8. Murtaza Khan, 9. Hussain Khan.
